A home online
For a few years I've been seeking a sort of "home online." I'd even imagined it looking like a digital version of a real home: you could click a button and be taken to a "living room," where you could see e.g., books I was reading, art on my "walls," it would be like an open house for everyone and anyone. Well, apparently this is not just me. Today I discovered Neocities, and it is chock full of quirky websites. One of the first ones I clicked on led me to the picture at the top of this post. You could hover over things and a word would pop up describing what you would get if you clicked on it. There was even a big pothos. I was wowed.
I don't have the web dev skills to make my own, but I'm so glad this exists and it feels good to know that other people share my quirky interest in such a literal way.
