Taiwan

Hi there. This place is like a cork bulletin board with pictures and stories created during and after I visited Taiwan for a month in 2014. The Taiwan I saw was friendly, beautiful, orderly, full of mountains and hot springs and trains, and of eating places where people will line up outside for the one special dish it's known for. Taiwan is the only place I have ever been where I thought nothing of running to and into a cab in the middle of the night with no smartphone or mediating app. I was fleeing a dangerous situation, and I did not find myself in another one. The cab driver called his daughter to translate, and they both took care of me. Taiwan is where I rode a bicycle in a city for the first time, and where the next chapter of my life felt like it was beginning.
